S. Korea”s Industrial Output Rises 0.9 Percent in March
Seoul, April 30 (QNA) – South Korea”s industrial output rose slightly in March, boosted by strong semiconductor production despite a prolonged slump, according to data compiled by Statistics Korea.
Quoting the organization, South Korea”s News Agency (Yonhap) reported that industrial output rose 0.9 percent last month, marking the second straightآ month of growth after a slump that began in September, except for a slight increase in December.
Conversely, retail sales, a key measure of private spending, fell 0.3 percent in March compared to February.
Facility investment also fell 0.9 percent in March, following a sharp rebound in February. (QNA)
