Leader agrees to pardon, commute sentences of 1,705 convicts
Coinciding with the auspicious occasions of Eid al-Adha and Eid al-Ghadir, Ayatollah Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, agreed with the request of the Head of the Judiciary to pardon or commute the sentences of over 1,700 convicts.
The convicts had been sentenced in different Iranian courts.
