US, UK launch new airstrikes on Yemeni capital

The strikes on Friday focused on the Ma’een District in Sanaa, with no casualties reported.

Israeli media promptly denied any involvement of the regime in these operations.

Nasr al-Din Amer, an official from the Ansarullah movement, emphasized that Yemen’s attacks against Israel will intensify and not decline.

Amer asserted that halting the aggression in Gaza is the only way to prevent further anti-Israel operations by the Yemeni army.

This latest assault followed Thursday”s Israeli aggression on Yemen’s infrastructure, including Sana’a”s international airport which left six people dead.

Tens of thousands of people gathered in Sana’a Friday to protest against the Israeli strikes and express solidarity with Palestinians.

Yemenis have declared their open support for Palestine’s struggle against the Israeli occupation since the regime launched a devastating war on Gaza on October 7 after the territory’s Palestinian Resistance movements carried out a surprise retaliatory attack, dubbed Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, against the occupying entity.

Yemeni Armed Forces have said that they won’t stop their attacks until unrelenting Israeli ground and aerial offensives in Gaza, which have killed at least 27,948 people and wounded another 67,459 individuals, come to an end.

The United States and Britain in December announced a military coalition to target Yemen in support of Israel.

Hamas says Israel’s attack on last hospital in northern Gaza ‘war crime’

Israeli soldiers have stormed Kamal Adwan Hospital, torching large sections and ordering hundreds of people to leave.

Gaza’s Ministry of Health said on Friday that contact had been lost with staff inside the hospital in Beit Lahiya, which has been under siege and heavy pressure from Israeli forces for weeks. It had no information on the fate of patients who were inside, it added.

“The occupation forces are inside the hospital now and they are burning it,” Munir al-Bursh, the director of the ministry, said in a statement.

The Israeli army has throughout its assault on Gaza routinely besieged and attacked medical facilities – housing both patients and displaced families.

Youssef Abu el-Rish, Gaza’s deputy health minister, stated that Israeli forces had set fire to the surgical department, laboratory and a storehouse in the hospital.

The fire then “spread to all buildings” in the medical complex, according to a separate statement by the enclave’s Health Ministry.

It said Kamal Adwan is “suffering from a stifling siege, as the operating and surgery departments, laboratory, maintenance, ambulance units and warehouses have been completely burned”.

The ministry added that all generators in the facility had been destroyed.

“The [Israeli] occupation army is forcibly transferring patients and the injured under the threat of weapons and gun barrels to the Indonesian Hospital, which lacks medical supplies, water, medicines, and even electricity and generators.”

Like the Indonesian and al-Awda hospitals, Kamal Adwan has been repeatedly attacked by Israeli forces, especially after they launched a renewed ground offensive in the area more than two months ago. The north, where a famine is looming, has been under total siege and cut off from the rest of the Strip since then.

Al-Bursh stressed that the Israeli army had ordered 350 people to leave Kamal Adwan for a nearby school sheltering displaced families. This included 75 patients, their companions, and 185 medical staff.

Footage circulating on local media showed smoke rising from the area of Kamal Adwan Hospital.

Much of the area around the northern towns of Jabalia, Beit Hanoon and Beit Lahiya has been cleared of people and systematically razed, prompting speculation that Israel intends to keep the area as a closed buffer zone.

On Thursday, health officials noted that five medical staff, including a paediatrician, were killed by Israeli fire at Kamal Adwan.

In a statement, Hamas blamed Israel and the United States for the fate of the hospital’s occupants.

“The [Israeli] occupation government is committing crimes in Gaza, relying on American cover and some Western capitals that are partners in the ongoing genocide,” it announced on Telegram.

Israel’s aggression has killed more than 45,300 Palestinians since October last year, according to health officials in the enclave. Most of the population of 2.3 million has been displaced and much of Gaza is in ruins.

Iran Armed Forces ready to decisively respond to any threat

General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran issued a statement on the occasion of the “Dey 9 Epic”.

“History does not forget the epics of resistance,” the statement reads, adding that the Dey 9 Epic is the manifestation of the will and efforts that spontaneously recorded a huge movement in history.

The people and the velayat-e faqih (rule by the supreme religious jurisprudent), are the main and inseparable pillars of the establishment of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and relying on these two pillars, the Islamic establishment has been able to achieve many ideals and overcome difficulties, it added.

Saying that the US and child-killing Zionist regime did not spare any efforts to prevent the Islamic Revolution and its ideals, the statement added that by God”s grace, with the wisdom of the Iranian people, their plots failed.

it further underlined that the recent events in the region, especially the developments in Syria, show the continuation of the hostility of global arrogance led by the great evil criminal US government.

“There should be no doubt that what happened in Syria is the product of a joint American and Zionist plan.”

It is obvious that the US-led domination system in the West Asian region is seeking to realize its evil goals, including looting resources and imprisoning Muslims, and currently considers the holy establishment of the Islamic Republic to be the biggest obstacle against its cruelty and crime, it said, continuing, “By the grace of God, they will not achieve anything in Syria either.”

The powerful Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, with all their strength and full readiness, using all their experiences and the latest defense achievements, will not spare any effort to defend and maintain the security of the country”s borders, and are always ready to respond decisively to any threat and aggression, it concluded.

FM Araghchi reacts to Arab League”s accusations against Iran

Araghchi made the remarks in a post in Arabic on his X account on Friday in response to the latest statement issued by the Arab League which accuses Iran of meddling in Syria”s affairs.

“Like you, we also desire stability, calm, and the prevention of chaos and disturbances in Syria for very clear reasons,” he wrote while addressing the Arab League members, before listing nine reasons.

He cited preserving Syria’s territorial integrity, security of all ethnic and religious groups, and sanctity of shrines and holy sites as well as limiting the possession of illegal weapons as among Iran’s reasons.

Rejecting “any form of foreign intervention under any pretext”, preventing Syria from becoming a “haven for terrorism”, and ensuring Syria does not pose a threat to neighbors and region were the three other reasons named by the Iranian minister.

He noted that stability is needed in Syria to “prevent further adventurism and dangerous expansionist policies by Israel” and “finally to form an inclusive government” in the country.

Meanwhile, he warned against attempts to incite strife and divert public attention toward “unrealistic threats”. The objectives of those inciting strife are “to legitimize the continued occupation of parts of Syrian territory, especially by Israel and the United States, justify foreign intervention in Syria”s internal affairs, deprive certain segments of the Syrian population of participating in determining their own destiny, and to achieve their desires by blaming external factors for the country”s problems.”

“Going through the current turbulent period in the region requires rationality, participation, cooperation, and avoiding the stirring of conflicts and temporary interests,” Araghchi stressed.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran agrees with other countries in the region on a peaceful and secure transition towards the formation of an inclusive government with the participation of all currents, ethnics, and religions in Syria and is ready to help achieve the aforementioned goals,” he said.

NATO boosting military with eye to conflict with Russia

NATO is building up its military potential with an eye toward preparing for a conflict with Russia, Russian Ambassador to Belgium Alexander Tokovinin said in an interview with Sputnik.

“In addition, this is about building up defense production, promoting the military industry of NATO countries, including in Europe, further increasing military spending, and intensifying maneuvers. All this is being done with an eye toward preparing for a conflict with Russia. Unfortunately, this is exactly how the emphasis is being placed now,” Tokovinin said.

The public in Europe is aware of the negative impact of the conflict in Ukraine on the economic situation and the rising cost of living, Russian Ambassador to Belgium Alexander Tokovinin said.

“We see that certain manifestations of discontent with what is happening are at different levels of public perception. This also concerns the understanding that confrontation with Russia is dangerous, that it can lead to a very serious clash between nuclear powers, as NATO is moving further and further towards direct participation in the conflict in Ukraine.

Such sentiments are also manifested in the fact that there is a growing awareness of the negative impact of the situation in Ukraine on the socio-economic situation in almost all European countries, which includes an increase in the cost of living,” he said in an interview with Sputnik.

ndividual NATO countries and the public in the West are increasingly supporting ending the conflict in Ukraine and the confrontation with Russia, Russian Ambassador to Belgium Alexander Tokovinin said in an interview with Sputnik.

“Discussions at the level of individual states are another matter. As we know, there are individual NATO member countries that are actively supporting an early end to the conflict. This applies to Hungary, and the prime minister of Slovakia recently visited Moscow. At the public level, these sentiments are clearly visible. More and more people are convinced that the unleashing of confrontation with Russia is, in principle, a disastrous and deeply erroneous strategic course,” Tokovinin said.
