Iran slams continuation of Israel crimes in Gaza, Lebanon
In a telephone conversation with Iraqi Foreign Minister Fawad Hussein on Monday, Abbas Araghchi said the Israeli regime’s violations are carried out with the green light of the United States.
He called for immediate action by the international community, especially regional and Islamic countries, to stop Israel’s crimes and acts of aggression, and prevent further insecurity in the entire region.
He also touched on the serious threats posed by the US’s abuse of its bases in regional countries and their airspace for aggression against regional nations.
Araghchi said all countries in the region should take necessary measures to prevent their territory from being used by foreign military forces to make other countries insecure and take necessary measures to protect their national sovereignty.
He urged neighboring and friendly countries to be careful about seditions stoked by the US.
Referring to the illegal US sanctions against the Iranian oil industry, Araghchi stated that the claims and accusations made by US officials to exert pressure on Iran have no basis or credibility.
On his part, the Iraqi foreign minister also expressed his deep concern about the developments in the region and the serious dangers resulting from the continued aggression against Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria.
He also emphasized the need for consensus and cooperation among regional countries to help alleviate the suffering of the oppressed Palestinian people and prevent the peace and stability of the entire region from being jeopardized.
In a separate phone call with his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, Araghchi said what is going on in Turkey is an internal issue.
He expressed confidence that the country”s authorities would be able to manage the ongoing developments in line with the interests of the Turkish nation.
In January, the Israeli regime was forced to agree to a ceasefire deal with Hamas given the regime’s failure to achieve any of its objectives, including the “elimination” of the Palestinian resistance movement or the release of captives.
The 42-day stage of the truce, which was marred by repeated Israeli violations, expired on March 1, but Israel is refraining from stepping into talks for the second stage of the agreement.
Moreover, the regime has launched strikes on Gaza since Tuesday, breaking the ceasefire and prisoner-captive exchange agreement that lasted nearly two months.
The Israeli regime also agreed to a ceasefire with the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah on November 27 following significant losses over nearly 14 months of conflict against Lebanon and failing to achieve any of its military and political objectives including the elimination of Hezbollah.
In addition to breaking the terms of the ceasefire agreement and keeping parts of its forces in Lebanon, since the commencement of the agreement, the regime has been carrying out near-daily assaults on Lebanon.

Yemen missiles hit Israeli airport, US aircraft carrier
Army spokesman Yahya Saree said on Monday night the Yemeni missile force targeted Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport in the occupied Yaffa region with two ballistic missiles, including Zulfiqar and hypersonic Palestine 2 types.
He added that the attacks were in solidarity with the Palestinians in Gaza.
Saree noted that Yemen’s armed forces also targeted the US aircraft carrier Harry S. Truman along with a number of its accompanying warships, in the Red Sea with several ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as drones.
Saree said the attack on American warships was the second of its kind in the past 24 hours.
He said the operation was carried out in response to the American aggression against Yemen.
“The Yemeni Armed Forces call upon all the free people of our nation to fulfill their religious, moral, and humanitarian duty toward the oppressed Palestinian people and affirm that, with Allah’s help, they will continue to block ‘Israeli’ maritime navigation and target the depths of the occupying entity until the aggression stops and the siege on Gaza is lifted,” he said.
Saree also stressed that anti-Israel operations will continue until the regime’s aggression stops and the siege of Gaza is lifted.
According to Yemeni media, on Monday, American warplanes conducted two strikes targeting Al-Rasool Al-Azam Oncology Hospital in Sa’ada province.
The SABA news agency reported quoting a Yemeni security source that the latest US attack came less than a week after it was previously hit by thirteen airstrikes in a blatant violation of all international and humanitarian laws.
Yemen’s Cancer Control Fund strongly condemned that attack as a grave and brutal crime that reflected the moral and humanitarian degradation of its perpetrators.
It added that the attack on the hospital constitutes a war crime under international law.
Holding the US responsible for this crime, the fund called on the UN, the World Health Organization, and the Red Cross to take urgent action to stop the systematic targeting of Yemen’s medical facilities.
On Wednesday, the US military”s Central Command confirmed “continuous operations” against Yemen.
On March 15, the United States announced a wave of airstrikes that left 53 Yemenis killed.
The deadly strikes, the first since US President Donald Trump resumed office, came after Yemeni forces pledged to renew operations against Israeli shipping in solidarity with the Palestinian suffering from Israeli attacks.
In a further escalation, the United States recently announced plans to deploy a second aircraft carrier, the USS Carl Vinson, to the region.

“The statement is scheduled to be out at 4 a.m. in Washington, DC, and 11 a.m. in Moscow,” sources said. According to them, “reports shared with the Trump administration from the US technical team in Riyadh seemed optimistic.”
Reuters reported earlier, citing a White House official, that Washington positively assesses the talks with representatives of Russia and Ukraine in Saudi Arabia.
On Monday, Russia and the United States held more than 12-hour-long talks to discuss resolving the Ukraine conflict. A source in the Russian delegation told TASS that the two sides had formulated a joint statement that the Kremlin and the White House are expected to release on March 25. The participants in the meeting did not comment on its results.

The US delegation included Michael Anton, Director of the Policy Planning Staff of the Department of State, Andrew Peek, a senior director at the White House National Security Council, as well as aides to Donald Trump’s special envoy for Ukraine Keith Kellogg and National Security Advisor Mike Waltz.

Israel strikes Syria bases again despite EU warning
“A short while ago, the IDF struck military capabilities that remained at the Syrian military bases of Tadmur and T4,” the Israeli military said, referring to bases in Palmyra and another 50 kilometers (30 miles) west of the city.
“The IDF will continue to act in order to remove any threat posed to the citizens of the State of Israel,” it added.
Israel said Friday it struck the same bases after a war monitor first reported the raids.
On Monday during a visit to Occupied Al-Quds, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas warned that Israeli strikes on Syria and Lebanon were threatening to worsen the situation.
“Military actions must be proportionate, and Israeli strikes into Syria and Lebanon risk further escalation,” Kallas said at a joint news conference with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar.
“We feel that these things are unnecessary because Syria is right now not attacking Israel and that feeds more radicalization that is also against Israel,” Kallas told journalists.
In Syria, Israel has launched hundreds of strikes on military sites since Islamist-led rebels overthrew Bashar Assad in December.
Israel says it wants to prevent weapons from falling into the hands of new authorities it considers militants.
And despite a ceasefire, Israel has continued to carry out strikes on Lebanon — with both sides repeatedly accusing the other of violating the truce.
