WFP Urges Urgent Humanitarian Access, Protection of Aid Workers in Gaza

Rome, April 21 (QNA) – The United Nations World Food Program (WFP) has called for urgent international action to prioritize the needs of civilians, ensure the protection of humanitarian workers, and allow immediate and unhindered humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.

In a post on X platform, WFP stated, “Families in Gaza do not know where their next meal will come from,” highlighting the deepening humanitarian crisis from the stifling siege imposed by the Israeli occupation on the Gaza Strip for nearly 7 weeks.

The Israeli occupation forces resumed their aggression on the Gaza Strip on March 18, following a two-month ceasefire that began on January 19. The occupation violated the terms of the ceasefire by bombing various areas of the Strip, causing casualties. It also refused to implement the humanitarian protocol and tightened its stifling blockade on the Strip, which is experiencing an unprecedented humanitarian tragedy. (QNA)
