Yemen launches fresh missile attack on Tel Aviv

The Israeli army announced that the sirens sounded in several areas in occupied Palestine including Tel Aviv after a missile was fired from Yemen.

Reports suggest that 20 settlers were injured as they were fleeing to the shelter.

Israeli media also reported that the Ben Gurion airport was closed.

Yemenis have declared their open support for Palestine’s struggle against the Israeli occupation since the regime launched a devastating war on Gaza on October 7 after the territory’s Palestinian Resistance movements carried out a surprise retaliatory attack, dubbed Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, against the occupying entity.

Yemeni Armed Forces have said that they won’t stop their attacks until unrelenting Israeli ground and aerial offensives in Gaza, which have killed at least 27,948 people and wounded another 67,459 individuals, come to an end.

The United States and Britain in December announced a military coalition to target Yemen in support of Israel.

More than 20 countries show interest in BRICS

More than 20 states, in addition to the selected partner countries, are showing interest in a systemic dialogue with the BRICS group, Russian Presidential Aide Yury Ushakov has told the media.

“The doors of the association remain open to like-minded countries. At the moment, over two dozen more countries have shown interest in a systemic dialogue with BRICS: Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Chad, Colombia, the Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Honduras, Laos, Kuwait, Morocco, Myanmar, Nicaragua, Pakistan, Palestine, Senegal, South Sudan, Sri Lanka, Syria, Venezuela, and Zimbabwe,” he said, TASS reported.

Ushakov remarked that Eritrea was also eager to work with BRICS.

“It is clear that uncontrolled expansion of our association would break its backbone. We believe that we need gradual, harmonized and accurate steps. Like those we have been taking throughout our chairmanship,” Ushakov concluded.

Israel renews attack on Kamal Adwan hospital in Gaza

According to the report, the Israeli military shelled the hospital from tanks and also used attack drones, Qatari TV channel Al Jazeera reported.

There are about 400 civilians in the medical facility, including newborn babies in incubators, who are almost impossible to evacuate.

Israel waged a genocidal war on the besieged Gaza on October 7, 2023, after the Palestinian Hamas Resistance group carried out a historic operation against the occupying entity in retaliation for the regime’s intensified atrocities against the Palestinian people.

Israel has imposed a complete siege on the densely populated territory, cutting off fuel, electricity, food, and water to the more than two million Palestinians living there.

Erdogan to visit Syria at the head of a large delegation

The publication did not specify the time of the Turkish leader”s visit to Damascus.

“A transitional government in Syria will be formed quickly. President Erdogan will visit Damascus with a large delegation, including ministers responsible for investments,“ writes journalist Abdulkadir Selvi.

Erdogan said on Monday after a cabinet meeting that Turkey maintains close contacts with the new Syrian administration and will provide it with all possible support.

He noted that after the visit to Damascus of the head of the National Intelligence Organization Ibrahim Kalin and Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, the number of visits from Turkey to Syria will increase.

On November 27, terrorist groups launched a large-scale offensive against the positions of the Syrian army in the provinces of Aleppo and Idlib. By the evening of December 7, they had captured Aleppo, Hama, Daraa and Homs, and on December 8 they entered Damascus, which was abandoned by units of the Syrian government forces.

Bashar Assad left the country and went to Russia. On December 10, Mohammed al-Bashir, who heads the so-called salvation government, announced his appointment as head of the Syrian government for a transitional period that will last until March 1, 2025.

Hamas warns against PA”s attempts to sow discord in Palestine

In a statement on Monday, Hamas slammed the PA security services” dangerous acts of aggression in the West Bank, adding that divisive remarks made by PA authorities can have serious negative effects on the social and national institutions controlled by the Palestinians.

It strongly condemned setting fire to the houses of people wanted by the Israeli regime in Jenin refugee camp and the use of weapons such as rockets against them, adding that such weapons should have been used by the resistance fighters to fight the aggressors.

Hamas stressed that the acts of aggression would damage the national unity of Palestine to confront the Israeli crimes and would help the aggressors destroy the Palestinian cause.

The statement comes after PA security forces recently attacked the Jenin camp in the West Bank.

Iran in diplomatic consultations to reopen embassy in Syria

Iranian Government Spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani attended her weekly presser with journalists at the Tehran International Exhibition on Tuesday.

Answering a question raised by reporters about Iran”s decision regarding the reopening of its embassy in Damascus after recent developments in the Arab countries, Mohajerani told reporters, “As the Iranian officials have already raised the positions regarding the developments in Syria, we take the government accepted by the Syrian people as the criterion for any measure in this regard.”

She also noted that preventing terrorism is in favor of Syria itself and neighboring countries.

“We are conducting diplomatic consultations to reopen the embassy in the country,” Mohajerani also announced, providing no further details.
