QSE Index Opens Lower

Doha, July 13 (QNA) – The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index declined by 13.44 points, or 0.12%, at the start of trading on Sunday, falling to 10,813 points from the previous session”s close. The drop was mainly driven by losses across three sectors.

Leading the decline was the Telecoms sector, which fell by 0.31%, followed by Industrials (-0.24%), and Banks and Financial Services (-0.12%). In contrast, gains were recorded in Real Estate (+0.37%), Transportation (+0.04%), Consumer Goods and Services (+0.03%), and Insurance (+0.01%).

As of 10:00 am, the QSE recorded a trading volume of 19.564 million shares, with a total turnover of QR 42.829 million across 2,311 transactions. (QNA)
