GCC Secretary General: Opening Branch of GAC in Sultanate of Oman Contributes to Strengthening Quality Infrastructure in GCC

Muscat, April 28 (QNA) – Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi affirmed that the opening of a branch of the Gulf Accreditation Office (GAC) in the Sultanate of Oman contributes to strengthening the quality infrastructure in the GCC countries, including supporting international recognition of Gulf competencies.

During the opening, the Secretary-General pointed out that the branch of the Gulf Accreditation Office in the Sultanate of Oman stresses the significant interest that Oman places on joint Gulf work and its commitment to developing it across all fields.

“This stems from the wise leadership”s noble directives in the Sultanate, especially as it responds to an ambitious Gulf vision aimed at unifying efforts and developing the accreditation system, which leads to raising the level of quality and reliability in economic, industrial, health, and educational sectors,” Albudaiwi stated.

“The Gulf Accreditation Office in the Sultanate of Oman seeks to outline avenues for cooperation and coordination among the Council”s member states, develop the system for applying standards, evaluation, and product control in the member states, as well as support and develop the Gulf industry and economy”, he further added.
