Yemen blasts Israeli attack on Lebanon, vows all-out support

Abdul-Malik al-Houthi reaffirmed the movement’s unwavering support for Lebanon and its Hezbollah resistance movement following deadly Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon, according to Press TV.

“If the Israeli enemy engages in a return to all-out war and comprehensive aggression, we will stand by your side,” he declared. “In any circumstances that require our intervention in a supportive position, we are prepared to do so (resort to the intervention).”

Israel”s latest attacks, which killed seven people and injured 40 others across Lebanon, prompting Beirut and many other states to condemn the aggression, calling for international pressure on the regime to halt its violations of the Lebanese sovereignty.

The atrocities mount concerns about Tel Aviv’s plot to launch another war on the country after killing more than 4,000 Lebanese people and wounding thousands of others during a wholesale brutal military onslaught between October 2023 and last November, when the regime entered a ceasefire deal with Hezbollah.

The war came in response to the Lebanese group’s pro-Palestinian operations in support of the Gaza Strip, which had come under genocidal Israeli warfare.

Ansarullah has been a vocal supporter of the Palestinian and Lebanese people and resistance movements in the face of Israeli bloodletting and destruction.

Since the Israeli onslaught on Gaza and Lebanon began on October 7, 2023, the group has carried out numerous retaliatory strikes on Israeli and Israeli-linked targets, including the vessels traversing Red Sea shipping routes.

Berri rules out possibility of Israel-Lebanon normalization

Speaker Nabih Berri told Asharq Al-Awsat in an interview recently that the Israeli regime is seeking talks leading to normalization of relations, but “We are not considering this option.”

He emphasized that Lebanon adheres to an agreement backed by international and Arab support, as well as by the United Nations, adding that “Israel is the one obstructing its implementation and trying to circumvent it.”

Berri pointed out that the Lebanese Army is prepared to complete its deployment south of the Litani River, but Israel”s refusal to withdraw from several occupied positions has prevented this from happening with the support of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).

He also stated that Hezbollah has been abiding by the agreement, has withdrawn from south of the Litani, and has not fired a single shot in six months despite repeated Israeli violations, including attacks on southern Lebanese towns, the Bekaa region, and the Lebanese-Syrian border.

Berri stressed that Hezbollah has refrained from responding to Israeli ceasefire violations and has been exercising restraint, standing behind the Lebanese state in implementing the agreement.

The agreement, which the United States pledged to oversee, stipulates Israel”s withdrawal, the deployment of the Lebanese army, and the release of Lebanese detainees held by Israeli regime.

Rubio, Netanyahu discuss Israel”s military aggression in Gaza

Emphasizing US support for Israel, he conveyed the Trump administration’s determination to restore freedom of navigation in the Red Sea through military aggression against Yemen, Anadolu news agency reported.

At least two Palestinians were killed and several others injured when the Israeli army shelled a hospital in southern Gaza on Sunday night.

The Israeli military acknowledged the strike in a statement, claiming that it killed a key member of the Palestinian resistance group Hamas.

The movement released a statement saying that Ismail Barhoum, a member of its political bureau, was martyred in an Israeli strike on a section of Nasser Medical Hospital in Khan Younis while receiving treatment.

The Israeli army has killed more than 700 Palestinians and injured over 1,000 since launching a surprise aerial campaign on Gaza last Tuesday, shattering a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement that took hold in January.

More than 50,000 Palestinians have been killed, mostly women and children, and over 113,200 injured in a brutal Israeli military onslaught on Gaza since October 2023.

The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants last November for Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.

آغاز مذاکرات آمریکا و روسیه در عربستان

به گزارش خبرگزاری مهر، شبکه تلویزیونی «آر تی» از آغاز مذاکرات بین هیئت‌های روسیه و آمریکا در ریاض پایتخت عربستان سعودی برای حل و فصل بحران اوکراین خبر داد.

بر اساس این گزارش، نشست ها در هتل «ریتز کارلتون» پشت درهای بسته برگزار می شود و نیروهای امنیتی عربستان سعودی از خبرنگاران خواستند آنجا را ترک کنند.

هیئت روسی عصر یکشنبه به ریاست «گریگوری کاراسین» رئیس کمیته امور بین الملل شورای فدراسیون روسیه و «سرگئی بسدا» مشاور رئیس سرویس امنیت فدرال این کشور وارد عربستان سعودی شد.

کاراسین پیش از این ابراز امیدواری کرده بود که طرف‌های روسی و آمریکایی بتوانند در نشست ریاض که انتظار می‌رود بر ابتکار دریای سیاه تمرکز کند، به پیشرفت دست یابند.

Israeli settlers occupy Palestinian home in Hebron

The seizure happened when the Palestinian family went out for an Iftar meal to break their Ramadan fast, the Rights Group said.

When the family returned, the Israeli military prevented them from approaching the house and the police refused to take a complaint, Al Jazeera reported.

The settlers claimed they had purchased the house, but the Palestinian family has denied this, the report added.

“It is time to stop the absurdity that a handful of messianic settlers determine the foreign and security policy of an entire country,” the group said. “The government is responsible and can and must evacuate the settlers immediately.”

Russia, US begin talks on Ukraine conflict

The negotiations are expected to focus on maritime security in the Black Sea and a potential ceasefire, RT reported.

The Russian delegation includes Grigory Karasin, the chair of the Federation Council’s Foreign Affairs Committee, and Sergey Beseda, an adviser to the director of the Federal Security Service.

According to Reuters, the US side is led by Andrew Peek, a senior director at the White House National Security Council, and Michael Anton, a senior State Department official.

TASS reported that the closed-door talks kicked off on Monday morning in the Ritz-Carlton hotel, adding that the Saudi security services had asked reporters to vacate the premises. Ruptly video agency also published a short clip of a group of Russian and Saudi officials walking inside the hotel.
