Egypt, UAE enhance cooperation in natural gas sector

Egypt”s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi held a bilateral discussion session with the UAE”s Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and CEO of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), Sultan Al Jaber on Friday.
This came on the sidelines of Badawi’s participation in the World Government Summit held in the UAE during February 11 to 13.
It comes to build upon the strategic relations between Egypt and the UAE and open more opportunities for cooperation.
Both sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation in securing natural gas supplies, in addition to reviewing the investment opportunities available in Egypt”s natural gas exploration and research sector, in which the Emirati company ADNOC can invest in as part of its expansion plans in Egypt.
The meeting also addressed developments in the work of ARCIUS Energy, the joint entity between ADNOC”s subsidiary XRG and the British company BP, which is preparing to launch its initial operations in Egypt soon to develop regional natural gas assets.
The World Government Summit in Dubai, launched in 2013, is a prominent global platform for anticipating the future course of governments.
