US sanctioning of ICC aimed at affording Israeli regime
“US”s long addiction to #sanctions/coercive measures through extraterritorial application of its domestic law is now targeting inter-governmental institutions,” the senior Iranian diplomat wrote in an X post.
“Sanctioning #ICC for investigating #Israel”s heinous crimes marks a new low in the annals of US complicity and collusion with an occupying apartheid regime that has committed all sorts of atrocities in pursuit of its “colonial erasure” of Palestine,” he added.
“This is truly an egregious abuse of power aimed at affording Israeli regime the fullest impunity for its criminal acts that seriously threaten int”l peace and security.”
He also called on the world to beware and react accordingly.

N Korea says its nuclear weapons are not bargaining chip
The North”s statement came as US President Donald Trump has said he intends to reengage with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, raising prospects that he may seek to revive summit diplomacy over the North”s nuclear weapons with Kim during his second term, Yonhap News Agency reported.
North Korea made clear that its nuclear weapons are not a bargaining chip that can be exchanged for a mere sum of money, according to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
“Our country”s nuclear force is invariably for real combat use in a bid to swiftly cut out the origin of any invasion attempt by hostile forces that infringe upon the country”s sovereign right and people”s safety, and threaten regional peace,” the KCNA said in a commentary.

Dozens of parties To ICC condemn US sanctions against global tribunal
“Such measures increase the risk of impunity for the most serious crimes and threaten to erode the international rule of law, which is crucial for promoting global order and security,” said the joint statement, led by Slovenia, Luxembourg, Mexico, Sierra Leone and Vanuatu.
They were joined by dozens of other nations, including Britain, France, Germany, Canada, Brazil and Bangladesh.
“Today, the Court is facing unprecedented challenges,” the statement warned, after Trump on Tuesday ordered asset freezes and travel bans against ICC officials, employees and their family members, along with anyone deemed to have helped the court’s investigations.
“Sanctions could jeopardize the confidentiality of sensitive information and the safety of those involved, including victims, witnesses, and Court officials, many of whom are our nationals,” it noted.
“As strong supporters of the ICC, we regret any attempts to undermine the Court’s independence, integrity and impartiality,” it added.
