Iran Armed Forces confront violations against country soil
Brigadier General Kioumars Heydari made the remarks on Saturday, attending the country’s western border areas, where he paid a visit to the Forces’ 41st Offensive Mobilized Brigade, including the brigade’s 35th Special Forces Unit, which he inspected as a means of assessing the combat readiness and operational capabilities of the servicemen enlisted in the brigade.
“Our country’s Armed Forces, especially the Army’s Ground Forces, prevent whatever type of encroachment against our Islamic nation’s soil by relying on national will and integrity,” he said.
Heydari underlined the utmost importance of military forces’ adherence to righteous religious leadership, describing loyalty to such leadership as the factor “leading to the disarmament of enemy forces and the most powerful shield against them.”
He also emphasized the imperative nature of adherence to justice and meritocracy across the forces.
“Based on this, one must comprehend the importance of commitment to the performance of relevant duties and observance of integrity as a means of advancing various affairs in line with adherence to and preservation of these three strategic principles.”
Meanwhile, the commander commended the country’s border forces for guarding the Islamic Republic’s frontiers with complete awareness, dedication, and alertness, and hailed their “acting decisively in the face of whatever threat.”
The remarks came amid underway military maneuvers in the Islamic Republic’s western areas, which have enlisted the Ground Forces of the country’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC).
The Islamic Republic’s Armed Forces, including the IRGC and the country’s Army, have continuously enhanced their military hardware and combat readiness in line with the directives issued by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
The forces have vowed to defend the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity in the face of the threats that are posed by the Iranian nation’s enemies.

Yemen slams missile into occupied territories
The country’s Government Media Office announced the implementation of the operation early Sunday, asserting that the missile passed through all of the Israeli regime’s missile interception systems.
“Despite the occupying regime’s claims of intercepting the Yemeni missile outside the occupied Palestine’s skies, the projectile flew past all of the Zionist regime’s missile systems,” the office noted, according Press TV.
Earlier, the Israeli military claimed hitting the missile before its entering the occupied territories’ airspace.
It, however, acknowledged that the strike set off alarm sounds in the Talmei Elazar area.
Illegal settlers in the central part of the occupied territories also reported hearing explosions, the military said, claiming that the blasts had occurred as a result of the interception.
Alarms also went off in the holy occupied city of al-Quds as well as the town of Tel Mond and the illegal settlements of Rishon Lezion, Kfar Saba, Ganei Tikva, Petah Tikva, Hod Hasharon, Kokhav Yair, Lod, Tayibe, and the illegal settlement of Sal’it in the occupied West Bank, it said.
On Saturday, the Yemeni forces fired a hypersonic ballistic missile and a drone toward the city of Yaffa near Tel Aviv, likewise striking their intended targets accurately.
They described the operation as a manifestation of “triumphing for the Palestinian people and their Mujahideen (Fighters), and in response to the massacres against our people in Gaza, and within the fifth phase of the supportive stages in the battle of the Promised Conquest and the Holy Jihad (Struggle) and in retaliation to the aggression against our country.”
The troops began launching their operations against Israeli targets last October in support of the Gaza Strip and Lebanon, which have respectively come under a war of genocide and escalated deadly assaults by the Israeli regime.
The successful strikes were both preceded and followed by intensified deadly aggression by the regime and the United States, its biggest ally, against the Yemeni territory.
The forces have been responding by ramping up their strikes against strategic and sensitive Israeli and American targets, including the US warships and aircraft carriers that are deployed off Yemen’s coastline.
They have vowed to keep up their operations as long as the regime sustains its aggression and a simultaneous smothering siege that it has been deploying against Gaza.

Israel incapable of intercepting Yemeni missiles: Ansarullah
Despite claim”s from the Zionist regime that the Yemeni missile was intercepted outside Israel”s airspace, it managed to pass through all the air defense systems of the regime, Al Jazeera reported on Sunday.
The Israeli Channel 12 confirmed that a missile was fired from Yemen towards Israel. Israel”s domestic media also verified the attacks and announced that the alarm sounded in Tel Aviv.
Earlier on Friday, Yemen’s Armed Forces Spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced that two military operations were conducted against Israeli enemy targets in occupied Jaffa.
The first operation targeted a power station in the east of Jaffa, and the second operation targeted a military site in the same city using a drone, which successfully hit its target.
Yemen has consistently stated that attacks and pressure campaigns by Western governments cannot force the nation to withdraw its support for the Palestinian nation.
since November 2023, Yemen has been targeting Israeli ships or other vessels destined for the occupied Palestinian territories to support Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip.

2 Palestinians arrested by Israeli troops in West Bank: Media
According to WAFA news agency, Israeli occupation forces arrested two young men and took them to a refugee camp in the eastern part of Hebron, where they were severely beaten. It was also reported that the troops stormed the city of Ya”abad, located southwest of Jenin, which led to the start of clashes with local residents.
Israel waged a genocidal war on the besieged Gaza on October 7, 2023, after the Palestinian Hamas Resistance group carried out a historic operation against the occupying entity in retaliation for the regime’s intensified atrocities against the Palestinian people.
Israel has imposed a complete siege on the densely populated territory, cutting off fuel, electricity, food, and water to the more than two million Palestinians living there.

US, UK launch fresh airstrikes on northern Yemen
Yemen’s Al Masirah TV Channel said early on Sunday that the latest airstrikes targeted the northern governorate of Sa’ada.
It said that US and UK fighter jets bombed the province three times, without giving details about possible casualties or damage.
The two Western states have been bombing different areas of Yemen, especially the western key port city of Hodeidah since mid-January 2024, claiming that the airstrikes aim to protect international shipping in the wake of Yemen’s operations on Israel-bound ships.
Yemen began those operations on November 19, 2024, in a bid to put pressure on the Israeli regime to end its war on Gaza.
Yemen has promised that it will continue its pro-Gaza operations despite the US-UK air aggression which Sana’a says is aimed at supporting the Israeli regime.

Tehran strongly condemns Pakistan bomb explosion
While expressing sympathy and condolences to the families of the victims and the government and people of Pakistan, Baghaei emphasized the need to strengthen efforts to prevent and fight terrorism.

“There are eight critically injured people,” they said.
Among the injured were SSP Serious Crime Wing Zohaib Mohsin and six members of his family, who were passing by at the time of the explosion.

The overall death toll, which includes both civilians and security forces, reached 1,612, representing over 63% of the total fatalities recorded last year. This marks a staggering 73% increase in losses compared to the 934 militants eliminated. The fatalities documented in 2024 are the highest in nine years, surpassing the figures from 2023 by over 66%. Vague future of Syria amid ties with Israel, Turkey
By outlining a four-year roadmap to take a step towards the political process and official elections, the participation of various Syrian groups and movements will be impossible, and the regime of Abu Mohammad al-Jolani can take over all the organs of power under this pretext.
The New Year began in a difficult situation for the Syrian nation, so there is no sign of the beginning of the year in Damascus, Aleppo, and other cities.
There is relative stability in Syria in the winter, but it is not yet clear what the future of the country will be and how its political and executive structure will be stabilized.
However, the ongoing signs and actions indicate that all sensitive posts belong to people who previously held arms as extremist rebels in Idlib and now identify themselves as Syrian political officials in suits and ties.
Most Western media in recent days have used the term “Syrian de facto leader” to describe the designation of al-Jolani, the head of the HTS terrorist regime.
The political and legal term of the defacto leader is a leader who has taken power not in a political and electoral process, but in an emergency and is informal and is a person who is not elected by citizens but is a leader in practice. Both Reuters, Agence France-Presse, and several other media outlets have used the same term to describe al-Jolani”s post. Such an approach suggests that Westerners are also reluctant to consider the statements and positions of the current Syrian government chief as credible and official.
The Associated Press has noted that based on the experiences and events that have been observed in Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Yemen, and Sudan in recent years, the lack of transfer of power to civilians is a sensitive and decisive issue and can lead to a chain of subsequent events, especially since it is not yet clear whether al-Jolani will seek a cleanup or compromise on the remnants of the previous government.
According to the New York Times, the Trump administration”s policy on Syria and Washington-Damascus relations is not yet clear, but al-Jolani has repeatedly expressed hope that US President-elect Donald Trump will lift sanctions against Syria.
Senior US diplomats recently visited Damascus, and the $ 10-million reward for al-Jolani”s arrest has been canceled. US State Department experts described al-Jolani”s statements as pragmatic but noted uncertainty about his future positions. Reuters reported that al-Jolani expressed no urgency for elections, suggesting it could take up to four years to hold them and three years to draft a new Syrian constitution. However, these timelines are not guaranteed, and it is unlikely that the process will exceed four years.
Al-Jolani, the leader of Tahrir al-Sham, which ousted Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, stated in a Saudi media interview that organizing elections and drafting a new constitution could take up to four years. Evidence indicates that many of his political decisions are influenced by Ankara, with at least three ministers in the interim Damascus government having graduated from Turkish universities. The Ankara-based newspaper “Karar” reports that the ministers of Justice, local affairs, and several local executives in Damascus and Aleppo are Turkish university alumni. Additionally, Turkish intelligence chief Ibrahim Kalin has reportedly assembled a team to advise on establishing a new Syrian intelligence agency under al-Jolani”s regime.
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has publicly acknowledged his past contacts with all Syrian opposition groups, including al-Jolani, during his 13 years at MIT, and is now sharing his expertise with al-Jolani”s regime. These statements suggest that Erdogan”s team seeks to prolong the Syrian political process and strengthen al-Jolani”s position.
Under these circumstances, it is likely that all military, law enforcement, and critical ministries, along with vital documents and financial resources, will remain under al-Jolani”s control. Consequently, the political process and elections aimed at restructuring Syria may marginalize many political, social, ethnic, and religious groups.
Since Bashar al-Assad”s fall, the Israeli air force has persistently attacked military and defense facilities, even targeting bases near Damascus. Al-Jolani”s regime has remained silent amid these aggressions, suggesting a coordinated response, as al-Jolani has not publicly condemned the attacks. Notably, Benjamin Netanyahu has claimed that Syria requires multi-billion dollar aid for reconstruction.
Western analysts are examining the historical cooperation between al-Jolani and Israel, recalling that al-Nusra Front, now Tahrir al-Sham, collaborated with Israel during the 2014 battles against Hezbollah and the Syrian army. Reports indicate that al-Nusra Front members received medical treatment in Israeli military hospitals. Consequently, the Israeli army has expanded its occupation in southern Syria, stretching from Mount Hermon to the outskirts of Damascus, covering over 500 square kilometers.

Israel keeps violating resolution 1701,ceasefire with Lebanon
Lebanon’s Al-Mayadeen Network said UNIFIL issued a statement on Saturday night highlighting the ceasefore violation by the Zionist regime.
“Today (Saturday) the peacekeeping forces saw an Israeli army bulldozer destroying a blue barrel that marks the withdrawal line in the “Al-Labuneh” area”, the statement said.
In addition, the Israeli army also destroyed a Lebanese Armed Forces’ watchtower, located next to one of UNIFIL”s positions, it added.
This statement continues by saying that the deliberate and direct destruction by the Israeli army is a clear violation of Resolution 1701 and international law.
UNIFIL, a peacekeeping mission established in 1978, called on the Israeli regime to comply with international obligations and immediately stop such activities.
Resolution 1701 was passed after the 33-day war between Israel and Lebanon in 2006 and emphasizes the need to maintain a ceasefire and respect border lines that was pledged by both sides in a truce deal that went into effect on November 27, 2024.
However, Israel has repeatedly violated the ceasefire, with reports documenting over 333 breaches, resulting in 32 Lebanese deaths and 38 injuries.
Just on Saturday night, Lebanese sources reported the penetration of the Zionist army in the town of Burj al-Maluk in the Marjayoun area in southern Lebanon and closing the road by placing barbed wire.
Also, a group of Zionist soldiers advanced into Wadi al-Hajir in the suburbs of al-Qasir and Dhahirah regions in southern Lebanon.
Over the past two days, there are reports of more than a dozen violation of the recent ceasefire deal by the Zionist regime.

Gen. Soleimani manifests Resistance school on battlefields
A ceremony to mark the fifth martyrdom anniversary of Lieutenant General Soleimani was held at the premises of Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy Rear Admiral Alireza Tangsiri attended the event.
During the ceremony, Araghchi said that Soleimani founded an “indestructible” regional movement.
He described the Axis of Resistance as a cause that does not hinge on one person and will not be annihilated with the martyrdom of one commander.
The top diplomat praised the notion of martyrdom, terming it as a key factor for the Axis.
General Soleimani, the commander of the Quds Force of the IRGC, and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the second-in-command of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units, as well as their companions, were assassinated in a US drone strike authorized by then-US president Donald Trump near Baghdad’s International Airport on January 3, 2020.

Senior Israeli intel. officer resigns over Gaza war failures
The officer, whose name was not revealed, stepped down over what was described as the Israeli regime’s failure to achieve its goals in the Gaza war, including defeating the Palestinian Resistance Movement, Hamas, Palestine’s Sama News Agency reported on Sunday.
No further details were provided on the resignation which followed similar cases among Israeli military ranks in the past months.
Brigadier General Haim Cohen, Commanding Officer of the Northern Gaza Brigade stepped down recently. Intelligence Officer Avi Rosenfeld resigned in the summer as well.
The Israeli regime waged its war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, with the stated goal of annihilating Hamas which had launched its unprecedented Al Aqsa Storm Operation against the southern parts of Israeli-occupied territories earlier that day.
More than a year into the genocidal war, Hamas remains active with its fighters being engaged in fierce clashes with Israeli forces in Gaza to defend the territory against brutal attacks by the regime.

Ukrainian MiG29 fighter jet shot down: Russia MoD
The Russian Defense Ministry reported that Kyiv’s forces have lost several Western-made armor pieces, including a Bradley fighting vehicle.
“Seventeen counterattacks by the Ukrainian armed forces have been repelled. The enemy has lost more than 410 soldiers, two Leopard tanks manufactured in Germany, an infantry fighting vehicle, and three armored personnel carriers, including an M113 made in the United States” in Russia”s Donetsk People”s Republic (DPR), the statement read, according to RT.
Kyiv has also been stripped of “a 105-mm L-119 cannon manufactured in Great Britain.”
A large number of Soviet-era MiG-29 warplanes have been delivered to Kyiv by its EU backers since the start of the conflict. However, in December, Polish Deputy Defense Minister Pawel Zalewski said Warsaw could not transfer its remaining jets to Kyiv without compromising its own national security.
Poland supplied Kyiv with several Soviet-era fighter planes in 2023, but Zalewski noted that until Warsaw receives US-made F-35 jets as a replacement, further deliveries are “off the table.”
In the DPR, Kyiv lost a total of 230 service personnel during two counterattacks that were repelled by Moscow’s forces, the ministry said.
The US and its allies have funneled over $100 billion worth of weapons, equipment, and ammunition to Ukraine since the conflict with Russia escalated in February 2022, while insisting that this does not make them a party to the hostilities. Moscow has repeatedly warned of the potential for escalation while saying the weapons deliveries will not change the outcome on the battlefield.
