Iran seeking to enhance ties with its neighbors: Pezeshkian

The president made the remarks in Tehran on Sunday as he met with Armen Grigoryan, the secretary of the Security Council of Armenia. The top Armenian security official is in Iran to attend the two-day Tehran Dialogue Forum 2025 that kicked off earlier in the day, bringing together senior officials and diplomats from 53 countries as well as the United Nations.

President Pezeshkian described Iran-Armenia relations as close and based on good intentions, and expressed hope that the exchange of diplomatic delegations between the two sides in recent months will pave the way for the further expansion of bilateral cooperation.

He also said that Iran strongly supports and welcomes the de-escalation of tensions between Armenia and the Azerbaijan Republic.

Iran wants a region free from war and unrest, where peace and security sustain, said Pezeshkian, adding, “We have extended a hand of friendship and brotherhood to all neighboring countries, and we are making efforts to strengthen and deepen our ties based on cultural, historical, and human commonalities.”

Grigoryan, for his part, conveyed to Pezeshkian warm greetings from Armenia’s Prime Minister, Nikol Pashinyan.

He said that Iran-Armenia relations are on the path of growth, with the volume of bilateral trade surpassing $1 billion.

Armenia is interested and ready to further promote the level of cooperation with Iran, he added.

Grigoryan also praised Pezeshkian for his speech at the Tehran Dialogue Forum, which he described as impactful.

عملیات محرمانه «موساد» در سوریه

به گزارش خبرگزاری مهر به نقل از الجزیره، دفتر بنیامین نتانیاهو نخست وزیر رژیم صهیونیستی اعلام کرد که در جریان عملیات سرویس جاسوسی این رژیم موسوم به موساد در سوریه ۲ هزار و ۵۰۰ سند و تصویر مربوط به الی کوهن جاسوس این رژیم به اراضی اشغالی منتقل شده است.

موساد نیز اعلام کرد که انتقال اسناد مربوط به کوهن در جریان یک عملیات محرمانه و پیچیده با همکاری «یک سرویس شریک راهبردی» صورت گرفته است. موساد توضیحات بیشتری در این خصوص ارائه نداد.

رسانه‌های عبری زبان گزارش دادند که این اسناد مربوط به کوهن برای چند دهه نزد نیروهای امنیتی سوریه بوده است. کوهن در سال ۱۹۶۵ در میدان المرجه دمشق به دار آویخته شد.

در میان این اسناد وصیت نامه کوهن چند ساعت قبل از بازداشت وی به عنوان جاسوس در سوریه نیز وجود دارد.

در ژانویه ۱۹۶۲ کوهن برای نخستین بار به دستور موساد با هویت جعلی و به عنوان تاجر سوری وارد دمشق شد تا روابط گسترده‌ای با مقامات سیاسی و نظامی این کشور ایجاد کند.

Agreement with US within reach if Washington stops bullying

During a meeting with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, on the sidelines of the Tehran Dialogue Forum 2025 on Sunday, President Pezeshkian emphasized that the Islamic Republic will never yield to pressure.

During the meeting, the Iranian president expressed hope that agreements between Tehran and Doha will be implemented swiftly, benefiting both nations.

He further noted that the execution of joint projects and the enhancement of bilateral cooperation would undoubtedly lead to positive developments in the region.

The Qatari official, for his part, conveyed warm greetings from Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to President Pezeshkian, expressing optimism that the president’s wise approach would foster security and stability in the region.

The prime minister affirmed Qatar”s longstanding support for Iran’s rights, rooted in their shared religious bonds.

He also highlighted that, based on past experiences, pressure and coercion have proven ineffective in dealings with Iran, while dialogue and mutual understanding have been successful.

He wished for Iran”s success in the political arena.

Pezeshkian calls for further cooperation with Tajikistan

The president made the remarks in Tehran on Sunday as he met with Tajikistan’s Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin. The top diplomat of Tajikistan is in Iran to attend the two-day Tehran Dialogue Forum 2025 that kicked off earlier in the day, bringing together senior officials and diplomats from 53 countries as well as the United Nations.

Pezeshkian said that Iran and Tajikistan can also work to pave the way for cooperation between their businessmen, industrialists, and academics, with the aim of bringing prosperity for their peoples.

Tajikistan’s foreign minister, for his part, conveyed warm greetings from his president to Pezeshkian.

Muhriddin also praised President Pezeshkian for his speech at the Tehran Dialogue Forum. Referring to Pezeshkian’s call for avoiding disputes and working towards interaction and friendship, Tajikistan’s foreign minister said that the fulfillment of such an attitude is an undeniable necessity for today’s world.

He also referred to the desirable level of cooperation between Iran and Tajikistan in trade, politics, and tourism, saying that his country is interested in expanding cooperation with Tehran within international and regional organizations as well.

Mehruddin also said that the cancellation of visa requirements between the two countries is a suitable basis for enhancing tourist exchange and increasing people-to-people relations.

Iran’s nuclear rights non-negotiable: FM Araghchi

According to Mehr News Agency, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi emphasized during a phone call with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan that Iran’s right to benefit from peaceful nuclear energy is non-negotiable.

Araghchi briefed Fidan on the latest developments regarding the indirect talks between Iran and the United States, as well as Iran’s recent meeting with the three European countries involved in the nuclear negotiations.

He stressed that if the other side shows genuine political will and respects Iran’s legitimate rights under the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), Tehran is ready to pursue a win-win agreement in exchange for the lifting of sanctions.

Turkish FM Hakan Fidan expressed appreciation for Iran’s constructive diplomatic approach and affirmed Turkey’s readiness to assist in advancing the talks.
