Over 120 countries condemned Israel, US attacks on Iran
Upon arrival in China, Abbas Araghchi said that his trip is aimed at participating in the 25th Meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), which will be held tomorrow in Tianjin, China, hosted by the Chinese government.
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization is steadily expanding its global influence, moving beyond a regional framework to address a broad range of economic, political, and security issues, he said.
He went on to say that this summit will finalize the SCO’s development strategy, especially in the fields of energy, trade, and other sectors, adding that key international topics will also be discussed in the summit.
“On the sidelines of the summit, there will be opportunities for bilateral meetings,” he said, saying that he will hold separate meetings with the Foreign Ministers of China and Russia. “Additional bilateral meetings with other SCO members will also be held to discuss both regional developments and bilateral ties.”
“I must emphasize that the Israeli and US attacks on Iran and its peaceful nuclear facilities have been condemned by nearly all international and regional organizations, with over 120 countries expressing solidarity and support for the Islamic Republic of Iran,” Araghchi underlined.
Araghchi further cited that the SCO also issued a timely and commendable statement condemning the attacks. “This issue will definitely be discussed again in the general sessions tomorrow, and I will address it thoroughly in my official speech at the summit,” Araghchi concluded.
While the Zionist regime waged a war of aggression against Iran on June 13 and struck Iran’s military, nuclear, and residential areas for 12 days, the US stepped in and conducted military attacks on three nuclear sites in Iran’s Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan on June 22.
The Iranian military forces conducted powerful counterattacks immediately after the aggression. The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Aerospace Force carried out 22 waves of retaliatory missile strikes against the Zionist regime as part of Operation True Promise III, which inflicted heavy losses on cities across the occupied territories.
Also, in response to the US attacks, Iranian armed forces launched a wave of missiles at al-Udeid air base in Qatar, the largest American military base in West Asia.
A ceasefire that came into force on June 24 has brought the fighting to a halt.

Iran never trusted US in negotiations
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baghaei emphasized that the recent Israeli aggression against Iran dealt a blow to diplomacy and the minimal level of trust Iran held toward the United States, adding that the imposition of war on Iran is essentially an imposition of insecurity on the entire region.
Speaking to Al Araby Television Network, Baghaei stated that what happened was not only a blow to the diplomatic process but also to the already minimal trust Iran had toward the American side.
“Let me reiterate — we have never negotiated with the US out of trust, as Washington’s record of violating its commitments regarding Iran’s nuclear file is well-known to all.”
“The Israeli attack on Iran was a blow to diplomacy, international norms, and to the stability of the entire region,” he concluded.

Iran, Iraq must stand united against Israel
President Masoud Pezeshkian referred to the destructive role of the Zionist regime in disrupting peace and security in the region, stating that this regime is a project of the hegemonic system aimed at weakening, occupying, and plundering the resources of countries and fragmenting the region.
In a meeting with Iraqi Minister of Interior Abdul Amir Al-Shammari in Tehran on Tuesday, President Pezeshkian said that Iran and Iraq must stand united against such a common enemy, support one another, and avoid division.
The president further described the relations between the two neighboring countries as brotherly and based on deep religious and cultural ties.
“We consider the government and people of Iraq and other Islamic countries as our brothers and will continue our efforts to strengthen unity, cohesion, and brotherhood among the Islamic community,” he added.
President Pezeshkian expressed gratitude for the hospitality of the Iraqi government and people towards Iranian pilgrims during the Arbaeen pilgrimage.
He expressed hope that the coordination between the two countries to facilitate the Arbaeen ceremony will become a turning point for cooperation in other areas, including activating border markets, joint investments, and academic exchanges.
The Iraqi minister, for his part, conveyed warm greetings from Prime Minister of Iraq Mohammed Shia” al-Sudani to President Pezeshkian and congratulated the resistance of the Iranian people against the Zionist enemy.
He elaborated on the Iraqi government”s efforts to provide the necessary facilities for hosting millions of pilgrims during the Arbaeen pilgrimage, particularly in the areas of transportation, healthcare, and security.
Al-Shammari stated that the Iraqi government is utilizing all its capacities to hold this religious ceremony magnificently, and these actions and coordination will continue until the last pilgrim leaves the country.
