Soldiers Injure a Woman, Destroy Infrastructure in Tulkarem
A Palestinian woman was injured this Wednesday evening after being assaulted by Israeli occupation soldiers in the Al-Ghanem neighborhood of Tulkarem refugee camp, following the army’s invasion of the area and massive destruction of infrastructure.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that its crews transported a 36-year-old woman from the refugee camp to the Martyr Thabet Thabet Government Hospital after she was beaten by occupation soldiers.
Meanwhile, Israeli military bulldozers continue to destroy the infrastructure of Tulkarem camp in various neighborhoods, including Al-Balawna, Al-Madaris, Al-Akasha, Al-Rabai’a, and Al-Shuhada, causing damage to both public and private properties.
Eyewitnesses inside the refugee camp stated that Israeli occupation soldiers invaded many homes, forcing families to leave and evacuate the camp, particularly in the Al-Ghanem neighborhood, which is witnessing a significant presence of occupation soldiers and their vehicles.
They added that the army also deployed snipers on the rooftops of high buildings inside and around the refugee camp, amidst the sounds of heavy gunfire and explosions.
The army also tightened the siege on the refugee camp’s entrances from all directions, bringing in more of their vehicles to the area.
Additionally, the occupation soldiers invaded the nearby Thannaba suburb, heavily firing smoke bombs at the Al-Firdous Mosque intersection at its entrance, before invading and ransacking many homes and subjecting the Palestinians to extended field interrogations.
Dozens of military vehicles, supported by five heavy bulldozers, stormed the city of Tulkarem from its western entrance, heading towards the refugee camp through its main streets in the western and northern neighborhoods, after closing and isolating them.
