Palestinian Prime Minister Discusses Gaza Developments with Italy PM

Ramallah, May 10 (QNA) – Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa discussed the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza during a phone call with Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, highlighting the Palestinian government”s declaration of Gaza as a famine zone following Israel”s blockade of relief, food, and medical aid for over two months.

During the call, the two sides also addressed the need for urgent international action to pressure Israel to open the crossings with Gaza and allow aid to enter to meet the population”s emergency needs.

They also discussed Italy”s support for efforts to reach a ceasefire in the Strip, backing the reconstruction plan, and the essential role of the Palestinian Authority in implementing it in coordination with international partners. (QNA)
